This 1/32 scale “box tail” Mk 13 features the plywood “pickle barrel” drag ring and boxed tail cover that transformed performance, boosting success rates to nearly 100%. Commonly carried by Avengers (and PV-1 Venturas and PBY Catalinas and PBJ Mitchells and…) from 1944 onward, this is the definitive late-war configuration, and continued to see use into the Korean War.
