I’m a big fan of recycling cushioning materials where it makes sense. Brown packaging paper? Bubble wrap? Those weird inflated bag things Amazon loves to use? I’m an equal opportunity recycler. If a padded something fits the shape I need, it’s getting used.
Well, except for foam peanuts. I’ll never inflict those on y’all.
Lately I’ve been making use of one of my favorites – HEB plastic bags.

Why? Well, I have yet to find a better method of insulating actual built models than a shitload of plastic bags. They got my 1/32 P-47 Razorback (and friends) out to Utah last summer without incident. And they were traveling in a checked bag!

So yeah. If you’re wondering why there are grocery bags stuffed into your order, there ya go. If I trust them to keep a large, delicate aircraft model safe, I trust them to keep tracks and such protected in transit.
Also, HEB is the best grocery store on the planet.

This method has never let me down.
Cool. Always looking to protect long-term storage kits. And -‘Rocketeer’! Had that and sold it – great piece for the technology at the time (smelled great too). Fun movie too. Ya, I’m old. Do you have it painted now? Would love to see it.
