The post in which I apologize for the lack of posts

I know, I know, I haven’t been posting as frequently as I’d have liked recently. These past several weeks have more or less been the definition of upheaval, and when they haven’t been stealing my time, they’ve been stealing my focus.

Hopefully, things will be changing soon, so stay tuned for some new build logs and tutorials right around the corner.

Hi there. Name’s Matt. Or Doogs, if you prefer. Since this is an About page, let’s get straight to it. I’m 30. Married. Father to an adorable little boy, beautiful baby girl, and four dogs. During the day, I’m an associate creative director at a social media agency in Austin, TX. In my free time (such as it is), I write. Or wrote. Or try to write. Historical fiction, mostly. It’s a nice contrast to the digital content and social media strategeriness that I live with every day. I also get all interested in cars, photography, technology, politics, history, movies, and knitting. Actually, scratch that last. I can barely tie yarn in a knot.

    Doogs – don’t worry about the lack of activity; it’s a thing about blogs about things that we do for pleasure that they can take on a pressured, got-to-post, stressy form where the pleasure stuff gets whittled away. Take your time: you make models well, you write about it fantastically. It’s not your job, and that’s part of the charm. Hope the upheaval is of the good sort anyway, and all the best. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one, as they used to say…
