This 3D-printable upgrade set provides P-47N wheels with oval-tread 34×9.9 tires and Type “B” wheels, designed to fit MiniArt’s 1/48 P-47 kits. While less often modeled, oval tread was used operationally and shows up in numerous wartime photos from the Pacific theater.

Unlike earlier Thunderbolt wheels, the P-47N used 8-spoke wheels with GE multi-disc brakes, replacing the older drum brakes that were prone to fading. To match, the tires were slightly wider, 34×9.9 versus 34×9, providing a larger contact patch to handle the improved braking. These advantages were so significant that most surviving, airworthy P-47s of all variants now fly on P-47N-style wheels.
