Description

Extended end connectors – also nicknamed ‘duckbills’ – were a popular field modification on Shermans and other VVSS-tracked vehicles during World War II. The EECs extended the track’s overall width, which reduced ground pressure and aided performance on soft terrain like mud, snow, and sand.

This set represents a round-style duckbill, and is specifically designed to fit Doogs Studios 1/35 Sherman tracks.

Supported and unsupported STL files are provided, with your choice of five different track pin widths to account for variations in printers, resins, and exposure settings.

UPDATED: Duckbill downloads have been updated to also include versions that work with full-width track pins. While this approach requires glue, the end result is track that’s both more workable and more robust. Learn more about the reasoning here.
