September, Interrupted

TLDR

  • Doogs Studios will be on hiatus from September 3rd – September 15th
  • Orders placed after Sunday, August 30th may not be dispatched until mid-September, depending on inventory
  • September pre-orders are on track for release when operations resume on September 16th

What’s Going On?

Next week, we’re loading the family up and driving out to Savannah to move our oldest into his dorm room for his freshman year of college. Instead of a grueling there-and-back, we’re making a road trip out of it.

All told, I’ll be away for 10-11 days: September 4th-15th. And since running the printers and shipping out orders is impossible from various interstates, the shop will be on hiatus during that time.

Shipping Deadline

The first kid going off to college is a big milestone, and I’m expecting next week to get increasing levels of frantic as departure day approaches. To preserve some semblance of sanity, I’m setting a shipping deadline of 12:00PM CDT on Sunday, August 30th.

Orders that come in after the deadline will likely not be dispatched until I get back to Austin. There may be some exceptions based on on-hand inventory, but I’m very much not promising anything.

September Pre-Order Status

September’s pre-orders are nearly finalized and will start shipping out once production resumes. If you’ve missed them, there are two – a rear stowage basket for the Tamiya M24 Chaffee and my first German track release – RSO tracks that fit wonderfully with both Tamiya and MiniArt schleppers.

Thanks for the understanding and patience with this one-man operation!

Doogs

Hi there. Name’s Matt. Or Doogs, if you prefer. Since this is an About page, let’s get straight to it. I’m 30. Married. Father to an adorable little boy, beautiful baby girl, and four dogs. During the day, I’m an associate creative director at a social media agency in Austin, TX. In my free time (such as it is), I write. Or wrote. Or try to write. Historical fiction, mostly. It’s a nice contrast to the digital content and social media strategeriness that I live with every day. I also get all interested in cars, photography, technology, politics, history, movies, and knitting. Actually, scratch that last. I can barely tie yarn in a knot.
