Outfit your MiniArt 1/48 P-47 kit with P-47N wheels featuring radial-tread 34×9.9 tires and Type “A” wheels. Radial tread was not typical in wartime but became standard postwar, especially with Air National Guard units and on modern flying restorations.

Unlike earlier Thunderbolt wheels, the P-47N used 8-spoke wheels with GE multi-disc brakes, replacing the older drum brakes that were prone to fading. To match, the tires were slightly wider, 34×9.9 versus 34×9, providing a larger contact patch to handle the improved braking. These advantages were so significant that most surviving, airworthy P-47s of all variants now fly on P-47N-style wheels.
