How Would You Improve Doogs’ Models?

This month, Doogs’ Models marks its first anniversary. Kind of amazing to think it’s been around a whole year already!

In that time, traffic has grown from pretty much zero to up to around 8,500 visits per month.

But in that time, what I write about hasn’t really changed. Nor has how I write about it.

Moving into year two, I’m considering shaking things up a bit. Before I do, though, I figured I’d ask you what you’d like to see more of? Less of?

Cyber-Hobby M4A4 75mm Build Report 1: Construction

After tackling Tasca’s masterful M4A3(76)W, I’ve been eager to take on a Dragon Sherman, just for the sake of comparison. I have four in my stash – Dragon’s Firefly Mk.Ic Hybrid and M4 Composite Hull and the Cyber-Hobby Orange Box editions of the Firefly Vc and M4A4 75mm.

I’ve been planning a more fanciful build with the M4A4 – a bare metal finish, of all things – so I figured what the hey, bring it out first.

On the Bench: Dragon T-34/85 Mod. 1944

The armor binge continues!

I’d originally planned to follow the KV-2 and Cyber-Hobby M4A4 buildups with Dragon’s excellent Tiger I Late Production…but got a short way in before realizing that it called for painting some internal elements within the construction process. With the bench packed up, that’s a no-go, so back in the box for the Tiger.

Instead, I’m cracking into another Dragon kit, this one acquired at the recent ASMS show – the Soviet T-34/85 Mod. 1944.
